Erik Martin: To persuade the world that a bill that prevents stealing copyrighted material is a terrible evil.
Kristine Smith: To get paid for another year to do what a one-line script that prints "all yours :)" could do.
Conde Nast: To find more creative ways to disassociate their magazines from the sewer that is reddit.
Reddit: To spend another year tricking gullible teenagers into thinking that visiting forums for women beating, racism, and porn somehow makes the world a better place.

They are pretty ridiculous when you think about it.
So true. The guy who boasts about making the world suck less fights tooth and nail to continue to host rape porn. Hypocrisy much?
Why do you call Mike Schiraldi an Oompa Loompa? I am sorry if I missed the original reference but I am curious. Is it due to physical resemblance, behavior, or something else?
